Reference
- The goal of the Chemistry Library reference service is to provide accurate, timely, and complete reference/information in support of the teaching, learning, and research needs of the UW-Madison library community. When appropriate, reference staff will provide instruction in the use of reference resources to enable independent use of reference resources. Each inquiry shall receive equitable attention and effort, regardless of affiliation or individual differences within the limits of time, staffing, available resources, and professional judgment of reference staff. The Chemistry Library strives to maintain a standard, up-to-date chemistry reference collection. Accuracy of information cannot be guaranteed due to limitations of resources or the knowledge of the individual librarian. It is the responsibility of the library user to evaluate and interpret the information provided.
- Reference assistance is available in the library 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Monday-Friday or by calling (608) 262-4423. Email reference assistance is also available.
